And the weddings continue! This weekend I will be venturing to Sea Isle, NJ for a wedding and some off-season beach fun. I am super excited, I love hanging by the beach in the off season. There is something so wonderful about walking by the ocean in the comfiest sweatshirt and a pair of baggy pants.

I’m definitely on the verge hybernation mode. I can feel myself not wanting to go out as much, becoming more focused on resting and finding good food. These are all definitely goo things, but also a sign that I need a weekend somewhere else to switch things up! Part of what I love about the shore in the off season is how calm things are. You aren’t fighting crowds for a seat in the restaurant. If you want to go have a drink at a bar you can actually chill while you do it vs. battling people for every inch of space.

I know that I said I was going to hike the Wissahickon last week, but I ended up getting a bit ambitious. A friend and I drove up to Jim Thorpe for the day and hiked the Lehigh Gorge State Park Glen Onoko trail instead. Here are some pictures from the day (sorry Wissahickon, I cheated.)

Beautiful fall colors that seem to be sticking around longer than usual.

But enough about last weekend, let’s get into the Sea Isle plans!

What I’m Doing

Cape May is about 20-25 mins away and has a really cute downtown area.  The town is filled with old victorian houses painted candy colors. It’s super cute, and is super fun to walk around in the summer. There are all kinds of cute shops where you can buy candies and clothes and cheesy souveniers. I am banking on it being nice and cozy in the fall. Fingers crossed! Honestly, I could just walk around looking at the houses for an entire day, but I am not the only one on this trip so we have some other things lined up too ?

Cape May Zoo

[column grid=”4″ span=”2″]I’m not gonna lie, zoo’s make me kind of sad. But I also love animals to the point where I squeal any time I walk past a dog/cat/squirrel… you get the point. I have heard that the Cape May zoo is pretty awesome, so I’m definitely adding this to the list! They [/column]
