Sometimes we all need a subtle reminder to keep being good people. Sometimes pink rocks and pretty plants help give you that reminder 🙂
Rental decorating can definitely be intimidating. You want a place to feel like you, to feel like your home. On the other hand, if you are anything like me you know you won’t be in that particular place for more than a year.
I am probably a long way from feeling comfortable with owning my own place. That said, a girl can dream and I like to think about it a lot. Pulling inspiration for things I will do is definitely one of my favorite pass-times. Most importantly, I am rental decorating so I need things to be removable/reversible/completely erasable. Hanging artwork seems like the easiest route to go, but the more I look at inspiration, the more I think shelves would give me the most bang for my buck. When you find the right shelf you can create such an impactful gallery in/on it and the number of holes going in your wall is significantly less than if you were to hang a gallery wall.
Around this time every year I start to feel the winter blues sinking in. I crave sunshine and its’ warmth on my face. Since I don’t forsee a tropical vacation in my near future, I am surrounding myself with colorful pins for a pick-me-up instead! Enjoy xx

I love, love, LOVE having plants in my house. I have a growing succulent collection (who doesn’t) but am wanting to get some bigger plants. My goal is to make my house feel like an outdoor oasis/jungle a la apartment tharapy’s post. Word on the street it is super easy to propagate a succulent and I am definitely going to give it a try. How great would it be to have a room full of plants that you had grown from each other?!
A few of the succulents that have been doing really well for me have actually started propagating on their own. One is called mal madre, named because it drops its ‘babies’ into the dirt around it to fend for themselves making it a bad mom. It’s pretty cool to see happen over time! Nature is so neat, lol serious statement though.
I think my next steps are going to be expanding the types of succulents I have around, investing in some cool plant holders, and venturing out of the succulent family to get some larger plants like Pothos. I have been perusing pinterest for some plant inspiration, here are some of my favorites!
Such a cool way to see your plants grow!
Hanging them everywhere starts to make you feel like you are in a fairy land.
