What I’ve Learned From the Skincare Trend

What I’ve Learned From the Skincare Trend

Luxury skincare has been all over the place for the last few years. Everything from the relatively attainable Glossier, to the more luxe Sunday Riley have dominated my newsfeeds in both ad and influencer spotlight form for quite a while now.

Spring Fashion Trends 2018

Remember in The Devil Wears Prada when Meryl Streep’s character get’s super sassy and says: “Florals? For Spring? Groundbreaking”. Well that’s kind of what I brace myself for every time I look at spring trends. Don’t get me wrong, I love when seasons change and there’s an excuse to go shopping, but spring fashion for me tends to have a little monotony that fall fashion doesn’t. There are a few things we can expect every single year; sure the size for the florals or decade of inspiration may change, but you can pretty much guarantee that you will in fact see some floral every. single. spring.

Building a Capsule Wardrobe for Work

Building a Capsule Wardrobe for Work

Capsule wardobes had a major moment a few years ago. Everyone was talking about throwing out all their clothes and starting fresh with a carefully curated capsule wardobe. The idea is nice, but didn’t quite catch my interest. That is, until I had the need for a professional wardrobe. I am now very excited about the prospect of creating a work capsule wardobe. I do not often need professional clothing, but want what I do have to be nice and easy to mix and match.

Surviving Winter – The Best Winter Boots For Cold Weather

Oh winter, you necessary evil. Even as a cooler weather fan, I have a tough time getting on board with the weather when it drops below 20. The past few weeks have just been bitter and miserable, even here in typically moderate St. Louis. I took my dog, Harper, for a walk the other morning and it was 0 degrees out. ZERO. Even with two pairs of pants and an excessive amount of winter accessories, I came home with frost on my eyelashes.

Going Big With Mrs. Eaves & Finding Time to Experiment Creatively

Going Big With Mrs. Eaves & Finding Time to Experiment Creatively

I have been wanting to paint a mural for a very long time. In fact, it has been my New Year’s Resolution for the last two years. Over the weekend I went to a workshop on taking sketches from small to big scale – i.e. mural size, taught by Gemma O’Brien (so much internal fan-girling.) After the workshop, I can finally stop second guessing my instincts about the how of mural painting. Once my basement is not a flooded wasteland I am going to attack the back wall as a test of my new skills!

My Favorite Gold Hoops

I have totally jumped on the gold hoop train thanks to Luv AJ. A friend asked me for help finding some under $100 the other day so I thought I would link you all to some of my favorites! I have both the Amalfi and the Baby Amalfi Hoops from Luv AJ (linked below) + a really awesome pair from an artist in Asbury Park (similar to the Cloverpost earrings in the links.) Both the Amalfi hoops are super light-weight and the clasp have held up really well so far!

10 Things to Bring on a Road Trip With Friends

I put together a list of the ten things I have found most useful to have with me on road trips. This list has been compiled over time based on the things I have been glad to pull out of the corner of a suitcase or the things I kicked myself over not having brought.

The Great American Eclipse | The Art of The Long Weekend Pt. 2

If you read Pt. 1, you know all about the awesome camping experience and my run-in with the moose family.
